Jade and EJ matched with each other in 2019 on the app Hinge. Jade had just started her NIP residency at Parkland Hospital and EJ was finishing up his final year of his bachelors. They went on two dates and lost touch after Jade had a medical emergency. 

One year later during the pandemic, EJ saw Jade on the same app, Hinge, and sent her a message thanking her for all that she was doing during the fight against Covid-19. They shortly met again for their SECOND first date. 

Jade and EJ moved into their first apartment in May of 2021 and later adopted their two cats Velvet and Stella later that year in December. They loved their time in their apartment but desired more. 

They later purchased a home in Denton in 2023 and brought in their newest pet, Fern, into the fold that January. Though they had a lot of pets at the time, Jade felt that there was someone missing… so seacherd and found Ruby online. So in April of 2023, they adopted Ruby. 

In 2024, for EJ’s 30th birthday, he wanted a puppy. So one day, three weeks before his birthday, they adopted Winnie from the Denton animal shelter and gave her a home. 

In 2025, they plan on getting married in the Moab desert and enjoying their time together and continuously growing their love for one another.
